Marcham Brothers Continue Successful Season at I-44 Speedway
Two Nights of Racing Lead to Six Solid Finishes

MOORESVILLE, NC (July 20, 2010) - Josh and Trey Marcham returned to I-44 Speedway ready for two back-to-back days of racing on Friday, July 16th, and Saturday, July 17th. While both brothers were determined to come out on top over their A-Class Sprint competition, Trey was also eager to take home a solid finish in the ASCS2 Non-Wing division. By the end of the week, the brother duo collected five top-three finishes.

Friday started the Marcham's busy weekend as Trey was competing in the ASCS2 Non-Winged division as well as the A-Class. With enough points to advance into the feature, Trey started on the outside pole and was confident that he had the car to win. Trey was able to pass the leader by lap 10 taking the lead for the first time of the night, but a simultaneous caution prevented him from breaking away. For the remaining green flag laps, Trey was caught in a fierce battle with the second-place car and found himself moving back and forth for the lead for the remainder of the race. In the end, Trey ran out of time and took the checkered flag in second-place. In the A-Class feature, Trey started in the 13th position. After weaving through the cluttered field, Trey wheeled his No. 32 machine to a seventh-place finish.

Josh also walked away from the night with a solid finish in the A-Class division. After starting the feature from the sixth position, Josh managed to avoid a wreck immediately in front of him and sailed to the front of the pack going on to lead a majority of the race. As the race continued Josh found the second-place car on his back bumper and was unable to hold him off. Josh took the checkered flag a car-length back from the leader and secured a second-place finish.

Saturday, the brothers returned to I-44 ready for repeat success during the second round of competition.

Trey started his night racing in the ASCS2 Non-Winged division. After deciding to not run in his heat race, Trey drew a four to start the feature on the outside of row two. By lap six, Trey quickly worked in to the second position, but was unable to catch up to the race leader, finishing the race in second place. For his next feature in the A-Class, Trey started in 12th place and had his work cut out for him. With smart driving, however, Trey impressively advanced to second and secured his third top-three finish of the weekend.

"Overall we didn't finish the weekend like we expected." said Trey. "I know we have what it takes to win, so we'll just come back next time and hope our luck changes."

Hoping to also continue his success from the previous night, Josh was ready for another solid run in the A-Class feature. After motor problems forced Josh to a last-place finish in his heat race, he worked hard to fix the problem before getting back on track and starting fourth in the feature. When Josh took the green flag his car was extremely loose, but as the race went on it seemed to get tighter and tighter. Battling his No. 8 machine and unable to progress, Josh finished the night in fourth place.

Trey Marcham will travel to Port City Raceway (OK) for his next race on Saturday, April 24th. Josh will take a week off before making his next appearance in two weeks at I-44 Speedway on Friday, July 30th.
